Welcome to ShadowDrums, a web-based drum machine.
- Start/Stop: Use the
START button or press the SPACEBAR.
- Save/Load: Saves or loads all patterns and settings to your browser's local storage.
- Export/Import: Saves or loads all patterns and settings to/from a JSON file on your computer.
- Export WAV: Renders your current pattern (or chain) to a WAV file and downloads it.
- Pattern Buttons (1-8): Click to switch between 8 different patterns.
- Copy: Copies the current pattern to the next available empty pattern slot.
- Chain: Type a sequence of pattern numbers (e.g., 1124) and press
CHAIN to loop them.
- Swing: Adjusts the swing amount (0-75%).
- Clear: Clears all steps from the currently selected pattern.
- Grid Cells:
- Click 1: ON (Blue) - Plays a normal note.
- Click 2: ACCENT (Bright Blue) - Plays a louder note.
- Click 3: OFF (Dark) - Silences the step.
- Click + Drag: "Draws" the new state across multiple cells.
- Track Controls (Per Row):
- Dropdown Menu: Select one of 4 sounds for that track.
- P (Pitch): Tunes the sample +/- 1 octave.
- V (Volume): Controls the volume for that specific track.
- REVERB: Toggles the reverb effect on or off.
- DELAY: Toggles the delay effect on or off.
- M (Mute): Mutes the track.
- S (Solo): Solos the track.
- Main Controls:
- TEMPO: Adjusts the master BPM.
- MASTER VOL: Adjusts the final output volume.
